Find My Phone

Hi there! I am trading my old phone in, for a new iPhone. In order to be able to trade it in I am supposed to turn off “find my device”. I went into the phone prior to erasing it, and turned it off. I then erased the phone/set it back to factory settings. When I sign into iCloud, I am no longer seeing my device under the list of devices. Does this assure that my device has been turned off? Thanks for any help!
