Apps using Apple ID-changing email address

An app I signed up to use with my Apple ID does not have my current email even though I changed my email associated with my Apple ID. I will not have access to that account much longer and do not know how to update it. Other new apps created are email changed in Apple ID are fine.

Did you change the account email as directed in this support article --> Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

Or did you actually create a brand new account (in which case you need to change the account email address as indicated previously)?
