I have a new iPhone. I am trying to pair my watch and it has stalled. I cannot turn it off to start again

You can force your Apple Watch to restart with the steps below:

To force restart, hold down the side button and the Digital Crown at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
