cannot get desktop folders to go into bin -

Updated last week and not sure if this caused my items to "moving XYZ" to bin and the icon progress indicator continually moves from side to side - no error messages shown! thanks

Try deleting a folder from your Desktop while booting into Safeboot mode and compare your results.

A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

reboot as normal to continue.

Thanks Leroy, but I have booked a training class that my local Glasgow Apple store runs and leave this sort of stuff to the young team!! Everything I touch falls apart in this tech world! Us old guys should not be anywhere near!!
