Problems sharing photos on Facebook

After posting hundred of photos, both edited and not, to Facebook over the years, I am suddenly (past few weeks) unable to share many of the photos I want to post. I believe most of those have been edited in some way, or perhaps were "live" photos. None are large files. For those photos, I get a message that the photo is unable to be downloaded. The only way I can get the photo to share is to take a screen shot of it, save it, and then post the screen shot. This makes no sense to me, and is a very recent issue. Not sure if it an IOS update problem or what?
