Fitness+ Workout Library won’t sync between iPhone & iPad

I have an iPhone 12 mini, Apple Watch SE, and iPad mini 4. All are up to date in software. This has been asked twice before but there have not been any answers or fixes posted. I use the fitness+ app on my iPhone to select workouts and save them to my library to play on my iPad since the screen is much bigger and I have a hard time seeing them on my phone screen. But if I save a workout to my library on iPhone, 95% of the time it won’t show in my iPad library and when it does, it’s days later. I’m signed in with the same ID, I’ve reset all 3 devices (watch included even tho that’s not the problem) and this is still an issue. I’m ANNOYED AF that I have to take 20 mins this morning to search for the same workouts on this slow A$S iPad that I already added from my phone last night! So what’s the point of the library if they don’t sync? PLUS the iPad’s Fitness+ app does not have the same features available as the iPhone app - there are no plans available or options to stack workouts - again USELESS when the phone app has these options bc I have to search for em all over again on iPad.

Hi Acalloway,

If you haven't done so yet, make sure your devices are running the latest software versions, since this can help with overall performance: Update your iPhone or iPad

If an update is available, be sure to create a backup before installing it.

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If available, you can isolate the issue further by testing on a different network. This will tell you if the issue is related to the network your iPhone and iPad are currently connected to.

If the behavior continues, reach out to Apple Support directly so they can look into this with you further. They can be contacted here: Get Support or by calling the most applicable phone number from this list: Contact Apple for support and service.

Regards.

I have had the same problem for as long as I can remember and continue to have it even though the iOS and iPadOS versions continue to be updated.

The only solution I have found is as follows:

- Finish the workout and get to the pop-up where it says "End workout or conscious defatigue" and the recap of calories burned. DON'T CLOSE IT.

- Open the fitness plus app on the iPhone in the meantime.

- Open airdrop on both devices

- From the end workout pop-up on the iPad click the "Share" button and send the workout via airdrop to the iPhone.

- it is important that the apple fitness app is open in the iphone. The transfer will fail, but the workout done will appear
