Overeating iPhone and draining iPhone batteries are a well-known issues of a iOS17 install. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported this to Apple?"

Report this to Apple...

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Battery Health Drop:

Unfortunately, there is no way to no why the Battery Health dropped and when All iPhones are expected to drop by 1-3$ right-out-of-the-box. It's nothing of surprising that this occurred in a short matter of time. As for this other 1%, it's likely due to use. All batteries are prone to failure. So, when the Battery Health reaches 80%, it Is time for a new battery.

Are you using your phone while charging it? If so, what apps are you using?
