My i phone 12 Max becomes "unavailable" without any attempts to enter passcode. I wake it up and the unavailable message is there. I try to wake it up in a few moments, unavailable time has increased without me touching the screen. No one else has access to it.

Thank you for your response. I did see this in my research. I do not want to reset. I am trying to figure out why it is happening in the first place when I have not entered my or any incorrect passcode at all. I wake up my phone and it is on the unavailable screen.
