After updating iOS I’m no longer able to see photos or listen to voice messages from locked screen

Whatsapp notification preview not downloading media and audio on 3D Touch preview When getting a new WhatsApp message with media outside the app - clicking on preview does not download the image or audio until I open the app(both on WiFi and cellular) - auto download on. App is running on background. Any idea? using iOS 17.0.3 on iPhone15
