Most routers run 2.4 GHz and 5GHz using the same name, and your iPhone will connect to the one it can reach.
If you have a new device in your house, and that device is unable to connect to your network right now, you may need to set two network names for your house. One for the 2.4GHz band, the other for the 5 GHz.
This is not an iPhone issue, and you'll need to check the documentation for your router.

WiFi is backwards compatible so it should not be problem as Bluetooth uses 2.4 GHz too
