Lag in changing the sound in control centre

I just got a 2023 MacBook Pro 14 inch on Sonoma. When I head in to the control centre, I try to change the sound but it is quite laggy and unresponsive. For brightness, it is buttery smooth. So I have no clue why it is struggling to change the volume in control centre. I have checked activity monitor and it everything is normal.
