Mapping a MalletKat with MainStage 3

Working with a MalletKat Express 25 pad controller; looking to use as a controller for Mainstage 3. Has anyone mapped this before? Any insights in how to have it work as a pad controller for glockenspiel, marimba and playing one shot samples (think: Neil Peart).

The problem I am having is that when hitting pads on the MalletKat, MainStage sees this as a latch, and keeps the MIDI notes pressed (until I mouse over them on the Mac and click them(). Controller is set to CC, with infinite gate time. Is the infinite gate the problem?

Controller: MalletKat Express 25

Interface: PreSonus AudioBiox iTwo

Mac: 2017 MacBook Pro 16 GB Ram
