Add space in between paragraphs while using table layout

In the table layout in notes, how could you add paragraph spacing? The return key turns to next and all you do is skip to the next cell in the table. I know I can create paragraph spacing in the desktop app on a Mac but is it not possible with the iOS version on iPhone? I tried looking in the format menus but there doesn’t seem to be an option. Highlighting and dragging also doesn’t create paragraph spacing. Thanks.
