I would like to use my external hard drive with the latest Apple M1 24 inch computer running Venturer os.

I used Apple's FW→Thunderbolt adapters with my old FW (SATA) HDDs on a Mac mini 2018. But eventually I took most of the old HDDs out of their FW enclosures and put them in newer USB enclosures.
