Emails from Gmail not showing up on Mail App on my iMac

I am using Sonoma 14.1 on my new iMac and this was installed a few weeks ago. However, in the last few weeks I have noticed that my Gmail emails are not showing up on my iMac in the Mail app.

I can access them through the website, but it is more convenient for me to do it through my Mail app on my iMac - purchased in April 2023. It was working fine until a few weeks ago!

I deleted the gmail account on my iMac and then reinstalled it manually, but it is still not showing my new emails.

Interestingly, they are showing on my iPhone.

I have also lost all my Notes - HELP! Will these download from the cloud?

Any help appreciated.
