MacBook Air 2023 M2 (Sonoma 14) can't play video clips on BBC online sports coverage. The message reads "incompatible codec".
If I use my very old MacBook Pro (2009) the videos work!!
What can I do to enable my MacBook Air to play these video clips. I'd be grateful for any uncomplicated advice (I'm not techno wise).

It sounds like your 2023's MBA Safari is just demanding greater security. The usual fix is to try a different browser: Firefox, Brave, Opera .....
