This concerns a gen1 SIRI remote. Apple TV is on OS 17.0. Firmware of remote is 0x257. the loading status shown in the remote's settings menu stays stuck at 7% even after charging for 2 hours. Any suggestions?

Verify that you charge the remote with an undamaged Lightning-to-USB cable to a computer USB port, or to a USB power adapter in an AC socket. Other USB connections might not be suitable for charging.

Thanks for the tip but I tried this already. Both methods I tried work with my iphone so I am quite sure the cables and chargers work as intended.
