Safari Graphics and Media process using 183% of CPU, causing fan to run

I am running a MacBook Pro 13 inch with Intel processor, with macOS Sonoma 14.0. The fan starts running after starting Safari, even with just one browser window running for discussions.apple.com. I do have some tabs pinned for Gmail, Wordpress and Square. It takes a few minutes after starting Safari, but the fan starts every time. Stops after closing Safari. While Safari is running, the Activity Monitor shows excessive %CPU: 175-183% Chrome does not have this problem. Is there a problem with Sonoma?
