iPhone 15 pro max portrait mode issues

When taking selfies in portrait mode, the image that appears on screen does not produce the same photo after the image has been captured. On my iphone 12 pro max, the preview on screen was a perfect match to final captured image. The final image does not have the filter effects and almost looks like it reverts to regular photo settings. Is there a specific setting that I should use with my new phone?

Yes! When I migrated my used from Iphone 12 pro max to the new 15 pro max, it messed up my camera software. I took it to Apple and they had me reset my phone from scratch so I had to add all my Apps/accounts manually. They also walked me through the camera settings and explained all the new features. bottom line is, the new camera is very sophisticated and allows you to play around with the settings but the preview does not function the same as old phones. It's worth taking it in though and have them check your phone.

I haven't changed my Camera settings under Photograhpic Styles. My phone is new and I use iCloud to sync all my photos. I don't think Optimize settings would effect how the camera processes the image as this issue is happening as I take the photo and not after it's synced. I'm about to take my phone to Apple Store to see if they can help. I can't find any helpful answers to why factory settings would cause this. Thank you for your suggestions.
