I already have 2TB of backup storage that I am paying and I want to see if I can backup my iMac to that also. The only issue is that the iMac in in my Apple ID and the storage is under my wife's. She has already shared the storage with the family but I must have deleted it when she sent it to me and don't know how to get it back.
iCloud is not meant to backup Apple devices. It's meant to sync data between them. To backup you should use Time Machine or another application to back up to an external drive.
What is the question here?
If you are talking about iCloud storage, backing up the Mac is not supported:
