A 2012 MacBook Pro cannot be upgraded beyond Catalina and Safari 15.6.1 is the last possible Safari version for it. Consider using a 3rd party browser that supports their latest version with Catalina. One option is Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/

For security reasons you may want to consider discontinuing all use of the old Safari browser and use the 3rd party browser for everything you do on the internet.
