Unlocking disk restart loop
I recently went to boot up my MacBook Pro (2020 model, intel i5 chip) only to be tossed into recovery mode upon boot up.
I have been talking to Apple support for the past 3 days regarding different techniques to find out what happened.
I’ve ran first aid on my “Macintosh HD” disk which returned successful.
I re-installed MacOS Ventura.
However whenever I go startup the disk and restart the device, I get a quick restart and a pop up occurs asking for a password to unlock the disk “Macintosh HD”. I enter the password, the machine restarts, and the pop up occurs again. I’ve tried the loop a handful of times to see if anything changes but nothing happens.
I am unable to exit out of recovery mode, every time I do I get hit with the loop (described above)
I am able to exit out of the pop up and return to the standard recovery assistant page with the 4 options (time machine, réinstallation, safari, disk utilities).
Ive already have been having to use an external monitor as the monitor to my MacBook cracked the other weekend, and unfortunately I am at my wits end. I am open to any suggestions or questions.
