What is the best non Apple monitor for Apple mini?

I'm getting ready to upgrade my 12 year old iMac to an Apple mini. I like the 27 inch screen. I am not prepared to pay Apple's price for a 27 inch monitor. Appears that I can connect a gaming monitor, so which brand is best? All opinions are welcome

Most any modern external display (LG, Samsung, Lenovo, ASUS, even HP's and Dell's) will work. Best bet is to visit your local electronics retailer and look for yourself.

Best is totally subjective and budget related.

What is your budget for a display? Obviously $1600 is too much (Apple's Studio Display). But what is the max that you are willing to pay?

What sort of things are you going to be doing on your computer?

But generally speaking, I am partial to the newer LG offerings.
