I have an annoying bug, that appears on several different websites and their (multilline) text input fields. It happens with Safari, as it happens with Chrome.

That doesn't help at all.
This issue exists for years and thus
I have changed devices,
used and switched between different iOS version (including iOS 16 and now iOS 17 on the newest iPad),
checked if I accidentally touch the screen. No, I don't.
It's an issue that is still here, and it's not limited to my device.
Editing word and adding a characters leads to jump to end of line and addition there
