How do I change where Airdrop downloads files?

Airdrop in the past allowed the user to direct where airdopped files would be stored, now it always defaults to the "Files" Folder. Apple developers have really mess up on this big time. If I am transferring a lot of files, for instance - photos or Clairis filemaker files, I used to be able to direct the whole batch to the place I wanted them to be stored and used. Now the Airdopped files ONLY GO TO FILES, and you have to transfer each file, one by one, to the appropriate destination... e.g.photos to iPhoto, and filemaker files to Clairis Go. Transferring each file individually takes forever, especially if you are airdopping many files onto your phone... Why cannot apple developers leave stuff alone and keep transfers simple, smooth, efficient and quick. Now it takes forever. It's now faster to just connect your phone via cord and transfer, and this is also a long time, and very inconvenient, if you don't have a cable. Apple developers are lazy.

Thanks for wasting so much of my work day Apple. We spend time finding ways to be productive, only for Apple to change things and destroy our work flow. This new change of not asking which app to open files is ridiculous. If they wanted a copy in downloads, they could have forced me to make an unwanted copy, just like they do each time I create a PDF of a screenshot (then have to go back and delete them)

Love fixing Apple’s mistakes
