Siri not working, iPhone XR, iOS 17

Since updating to iOS 17, Siri does not work on my iPhone XR.

I am unable to set up Siri to listen for "Siri" or "Hey Siri". During the setup I just get the "Siri didn't quite get that" error message.

Even if I hold the power button to activate Siri and ask a question it does not work properly.

It used to work fine before the update. I have tried all the obvious solutions and those I could find on Google.

This is especially frustrating taking into account that Siri worked fine on my second iPhone (iPhone 5 way back in 2013).

Is your Siri Language set correctly in Settings > Siri & Search?
