Overheating issues on iOS 17.0.3

Recently after updating to iOS 17.0.3, my phone has been experiencing a lot of overheating issues, just heating up a lot out of nowhere. I'm still using my phone the exact same way as before; gaming, taking photos, messaging.

Hello rudydoingstuff,

If your device is displaying the "Temperature alert" notification indicating that it has overheated, you can try this recommendation:

To resume use of your device as quickly as possible, turn it off, move it to a cooler environment (away from direct sunlight), and allow it to cool down.

If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold

If you are continually getting the "Temperature alert" notification, you'll want to contact Apple to report the issue: Get Support

Cheers!

I am experiencing the same issue with my iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 17.0.3 update. The phone is getting warm even when it is not in use. It gets even warmer when I’m charging. I reviewed the battery settings to see if something was running everything looks normal. I even changed out my cable and charging adapter. Still have same issue. It concerns me when I’m charging it. That’s getting warm that sometimes I’ll take it off the charger and let it cool down. I never get the temperature alert notification. For the background app refresh settings. The only thing I have turned on is the weather apps. Somethings going on. I hope Apple’s working on it.
