Why Is My Dual Sim Automatically Changing?!

I have recently went to dual sim on a single IPhone device. Biggest regret of my tech life… I will be in the middle of a text thread and it changes my number. I will select the number I want to send from before I send a sms or iMessage and guess what… it picks for me…

I’ve seen people on various Apple discussion threads over two years ago say the same thing. So far I’ve received no new information to solve my issues. What is the point of providing dual sim if it cannot be done right since it came out many years ago?! Very frustrating and irritating when I sell off one phone to minimize what I carry and I cannot do that if the phone doesn’t work properly.
