Stop sharing photos between iPhone and iPad

I don’t want to share my photos on my iPhone with my iPad. How do I stop sharing between devices?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.


If you don't want your photos syncing across your devices, you'll need to turn off iCloud Photos.


  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Your Name/Apple ID
  3. Tap iCloud
  4. Select Photos
  5. Next to "Sync this iPad", place the slider in the OFF position.


Access and view iCloud Photos on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac - Apple Support
