How would I back up an iPhone 14Pro Max to an external drive. Not onto a Mac OS or to iCloud.

You cannot backup your phone to an external hard drive directly. You must use iCloud or iTunes/Finder on a computer.

If you create the backup using iTunes/Finder, I believe you can move it to an external disk, or perhaps you're able to change the location of the backup before it's created? It's been a while since I used my computer for backups. I've been using iCloud for years.

Thank you. I've read that it cannot be moved either, or it would become corrupted.
