My I phone 13 doesn’t ring after updating. How do I fix it
An elderly friend has an iPhone 13 and it will not ring but the slider button on the upper left side is pulled toward him and there’s still no ring when he calls when he gets a call when somebody calls him. His phone does not ring.
Some things to check:
The ring/silent switch on the left side of the phone. See the following Apple article: Select ringtones and vibrations on iPhone - Apple Support
Check the ringer volume at Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone & Alert Volume.
Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers. See: Detect and block spam phone calls - Apple Support
Do Not Disturb. See: How to turn Do Not Disturb on or off on your iPhone - Apple Support
If none of the above, also try restarting. See instructions in: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
Thank you. My problem was because Silence Unknown Callers was turned on. I turned it off and the phone rings now.
Agree with FoxFifth. Settings>Phone>Silence Unknown Callers. If that switch is turned on then anyone not in your contacts will be permitted to make your phone ring.
