Both of my aluminum remotes (older version) quit working even with new 2032 batteries. I have no way to connect to the Apple TV box. Any suggestions on how to connect with an new remote that I just bought?

The old style Apple Remote (aluminum) A1294 needs to be linked to the Apple TV box after a battery change.

Do both steps, the unlinking and then the linking.
