My AirPods Max aren’t turning on despite displaying the charging light while charging. They won’t even turn on. What should I do?

I was a proud owner of AirPods Max, use them infrequently, but love them when I do.

they have always been used in doors and are as new in every way.

left on charge in their case for a few weeks only for them to not connect to any device.

service said £468 replacement charge!!! What for? Why can’t they be repaired?

I have been experiencing the same problem, I even had my airpods max brought in and serviced, Where they discovered that the issue stemed from a broken cable internally, regardlesss of there being no external damage to the airpods. They fixed it and I got them back but now I am again experiencing the same issue, one year later. I suspect there might be some issue with some units circuitry failing under the pressure from the twisting needed to put them in the charging case, although this part is mere speculations from my part.

apple support says -

‘The diagnostic tests for your AirPods indicate an issue with the pairing connection, which necessitates replacing the entire unit. The cost for the replacement is £469.’

what the ****?

I’ll not be wasting my money on the vision pro’s then. Will they be unrepairable too?
