Internet not working after os sonoma update on macpro 16

Update was available so I had my macbook pro update to Sonoma yesterday. Installation was uneventful and went fine. Looks like all is good except for not being able to connect to the internet, even switching to a different service, different router, etc. I even disabled antivirus, and adblocker, trying solution on the community as well. nothing has worked. Need help or show me how to remove sonoma and go back to original os. thx

Disable a VPN:

Keep Security Software Off of your Appel Devices:

Security Software just gets in the way on an Appel Device, and this is a pure example of how and why.

For Reference...

Troubleshooting Mac Wi-Fi:

A few thoughts to try...

I. Clear the Temporary Internet Files:

II. Restart your Router:

  1. Power: off the router
  2. Wait: 30 seconds
  3. Power: It back on

III. Boot in Safe Mode:

In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another update install. For instructions, go here: How to Use safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support

IV. Try a New Admin User:

What happens when you create a new administrator user, and log into it? Do you still get this error? If not, then it is likely an error with the current user. If so, then it is likely an error with your Mac.

V. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies to Intel-Basel Macs Only) Sometimes changes (i.e. Installations) are made to the system and then settings (i.e. Networking) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac. So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAM or PRAM. It might take three tries. to fix this. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

Start With This:

Update; I solved the problem. I noticed the laptop could communicate with the wifi but not show as a website connection, instead it was visible by checking for an update and it said all was current and up to date. I then tried to see why it would not connect and noticed that Eset anti virus left an active network on the WiFi settings. I then removed the network by clicking the "-" sign and then tried to connect to a web page and it was successful. I'm not sure why Eset would start or leave the network in place or why it was there. Anyway, got my laptop working again and currently using it to post this update. Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Hope my experience helps others as well.

Uninstall Eset from your Mac:

Shows how Security Software is just another culprit in issue occurring. Uninstall all Secure Software. Security Software just gets in the way on a Mac, and this is a pure example of how and why. Ask the Developer which uninstaller to use, as just dragging-&-dropping the icon into the trash can leave shortcuts and other formless laying about your Mac.
