Lines over images/images changing at random?

About 6 months ago, I noticed that images on my computer screen would change from viewing normal to viewing with lines across them (think: 1980s fuzzy TV). This will happen only when visiting websites, not within my own files or when I'm offline. Then, while searching graphics on Freepik, I noticed that the images I was scrolling through would not only become lined and blurred, but they would change to completely different images. For example, a downloaded image on my computer would replace an image on Freepik, even though they have no access to my downloads. I'll attach an image to showcase a "mild" occurrence of the lined issue. At times, the entire screen fills with lined images. I've changed browsers to test and it happens regardless of which browser is chosen.

Note: I've read through Apple community forums to find similar issues and solutions, but none have solved my problem.

Any insight to the cause?

Thank you!

Hey Mandey_,

Is happening when using Safari or another browser? Does this happen after a set amount of time, or is it completely random? If you are using Safari, check out the If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac page for a few tips and steps to try that may assist.

Hey Brian,

Thank you so much for the response. To answer your questions:

  1. It happens when using Safari and Chrome browsers (I haven't tried any others).
  2. No set amount of time, it usually starts a few seconds after I'm on a website with images and then it continues to happen continuously while I am on the website.

I created a quick Loom video below to show you what happens in real time. I have researched solutions for many weeks and tried nearly everything people have suggested. Maybe my video will shed light on the issue. I appreciate your response.
