Battery Issues After an Update:

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of your occurrence, if you did not report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thead.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Sorry, downgrading is not possible for the operating system.

Your battery may be reaching the end of its life and possibly needs replacing.

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

As mentioned, you can’t downgrade after updating your iOS. Is this on the iPhone XR? It originally came out 5 years ago…not sure how long you have had yours but Apple stopped selling it in 2021 so if you have had it longer than that it’s very possible your battery needs replacing anyway. What is the battery health percentage of your device? If it’s lower than 80% it needs to be replaced.
