Ventura 13.6 Colors Off

The colors are really messed up to the point where I can hardly use my computer. Here are some examples:

  1. I cannot see highlighted text when editing. Makes it really hard to edit anything.
  2. My wallpaper is set to space gray; it is a muddy, dark brown.
  3. Light colors are washed out; dark colors are too dark.
  4. Everything (text and images) is fuzzy and out-of-focus.

All of the above problems are magnified when I dock my MacBook Pro and use my Thunderbolt display.

Could it be a problem with my computer? It’s a 2019 MacBook Pro purchased in Jan. 2020. Is there a simple test I can run to determine if the problem is with my computer?

I’ve seen many posts about color issues with Ventura when it first came out. That was more than year ago. Sighs.

Problem solved. Never change the System Settings for Accessibility > Display > Display Contrast. Leave it at Normal. The setting Accessibility > Display > Increase Contrast is safe to turn on.
