Garbled fonts on Safari webpages in Sonoma
Since upgrading to Sonoma some web pages on Safari are displaying garbled text.
It looks like a font-loading problem...?

This is a known issue with FontBook - the symptoms are varied (for me, it's only text with <H*> tags that are garbled ) but the fix is the same: reset your FontBook. See directions from Apple here:
Restore fonts that came with your Mac using Font Book - Apple Support (CA)
This will correct the problem but it may or may not be permanent. I restarted my MacBook in safe mode first, and have not had to reset again, but I do see reports of people who have to do it every few days, or whenever they shut down and restart. YMMV.

Hi BinkyBarlow,
We see what you're referring to in your screenshot. For something like this, the best step is to contact AppleSupport, so they can look into why this is happening. Especially if you've seen this page look normally previously.
Take care!
