Siri Timer Sound

In iOS 17 when I say Hey Siri please set a timer for xx minutes it sets the timer but uses the wretched default sound Radial. No matter how many times I’ve used timer with my preferred sound, Siri always uses the default sound. If I manually set a timer, it also uses the wretched default sound until I change it. It used to maintain my “last used” sound. I gauge this please fix it.

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 17

I agree! This is very frustrating. I used to use siri for my timers almost exclusively. But now, for whatever reason, they thought it was a good idea to make a brand new timer with a horrific default sound every time unless i set it manually. Terrible change.

Not to mention the volume on the alarm is inconsistent. Sometimes I can't hear it at all, sometimes it's barely there, and other times I hear it. Seems like if it sticks to it's default sound, the volume is fine, but if I change the ringer, the volume doesn't always work right. Maybe that's just a hardware issue though.

Long story short, PLEASE put this back. If a user sets the ringer, keep whatever sound they used the last time they created an alarm. Seems so obvious.

Greetings beverly246,

We can understand wanting to use Siri to Set an alarm in Clock on iPhone - Apple Support and have it use a sound other than the default sound. Though this is not currently an option, you can send your thoughts to Apple directly. They are open to accept feedback for their hardware and software. You can leave them feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple.

We hope this information helps you out.

Kind regards!
