Why doesn't Apple TV have a watch list or Queue?

I would like to be able when I find shows I want to watch later, to add them to a queue on Apple TV so I know where I can find them to watch later, like a month later or a year later. Why on earth doesn't Apple TV have this simple obvious industry standard option?

And instead we get an "up next" which serves no purpose whatsoever as far as I can see unless the only thing you watch 100% of the time is Apple TV. It's useless as a queue or a watch list because you can't edit it.
