Features missing in Apple Watch post update

I cannot find the flash light, battery life, or ping my iPhone button. Used to be able to swipe down and up

on the face to find those buttons.

Why were these incredibly useful features removed. I mean, battery life? Really?

Hello Rf17,

The Control Center feature wasn't removed, the way to access it was just changed in the new software version. In watchOS 10 you now simply press the side button on the watch to open up the Control Center.

Use Control Center on Apple Watch

The swipe up gesture which was used to open the Control Center in watchOS 9 has now been changed to open up the new Smart Stack feature.

Use the Smart Stack to show timely widgets on Apple Watch

Cheers!

This doesn’t work for me. When I push the side button once - I get a list of apps - no control center. And, my watch is up to date. How can this be fixed?

If you're getting a list of apps, you're pressing the Digital Crown, not the side button. The side button is an oval button next to the digital crown that is almost flush with the bezel.
