Screen time requests not sending notifications to my iPhone since iOS 17

I wanted to have the request came in iMessage. It worked fine and it served as a audit trail where I can see who approves or when are the request came in. Until we updated to IOS IOS17.2 and everything went downhill. It works perfectly on IOS17.1. Any solutions?

We are also facing the same problem and they didn’t work even after restart of all the devices.

Thanks for the tip bkmacfan! This worked for me. I much prefer push notifications rather to an iMessage, but like you, I’m happy I can approve time request remotely.

Did anyone find a solution to this issue other than the one mentioned about checking that the “send & receive” is going to an email address? (My daughters settings were already set up as directed) not only can I no longer receive screen time requests anymore but I also can’t check her screen time on my device and she can’t send any iMessages. Help!’

Similar problems- requests go to imessage on my phone or device but I can not give her access AND bizarrely it says “mom” is requesting the time not D. I have checked and all settings are correct. (Including both our apple IDs and message sending) additionally in famiky share my youngest’s location now appears as “Mom”. So frustrating.

Does the issue happen while the devices are on the same network?

Can a child send remote requests for more time from their MacBook, too? Screentime is available on laptops and iphones, and it looks the same to my eye.
