Inherited iPad from dead friend
I dear friend has passed away. Her family gave my son their mothers Ipad. It is locked do to too many attempts to guess what her password may have been.

Without: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support
But you'll probably next meet Activation Lock here, which is intentionally not easy to bypass.
