How much will it cost to repair a Cracked Bezel on my MacBook Pro ?

I have had my MacBook Pro for a little over a year and just got a crack in the corner. Something was caught in the corner and I barely shut it before it cracked this glass. My warranty is up so I was wanting to know if this piece is replaceable or how much repairing will cost.

It's replaceable and as a strictly cosmetic item it won't cost nearly as much as say a logic board replacement.

But the only way to get an estimate is at an Apple Store or an apple certified repair shop.

Personally, I'd just live with it unless it starts to break apart into little pieces.

As the others have noted, covering it with some sort of tape is the easiest & least expensive option available.

Technically it is possible to remove the Bezel portion and install a replacement bezel, but Apple and most AASPs will not do this since the official Apple repair involves replacing the entire Display Assembly which is very expensive (easily $500+ US). Replacing this Bezel is not without risk since it is very easy even for an experienced hardware tech to damage one of many very fragile & delicate cables located beneath the Bezel. I have replaced hundreds of these Bezels on my organizations 2016+ USB-C Apple laptops....a few times I have damaged one of those cables and I have lots of hands on experience. It is also a bit tricky to properly fit the replacement Bezel since there is very little room for error...only one chance since adhesive sticks really hard).

Oh, and cosmetic repairs will cost the same as any other repair and may even be considered accidental damage (for a mail-in repair, that would increase an already expensive repair).

It may easily cost as much as a Logic Board replacement. Sometimes there may be a bit of difference depending on the model and how the laptop is repaired (AASP replacing parts themselves, or having the laptop mailed out to an Apple mail-in repair depot).

To add, since it's just cosmetic damage at this point, I'd live with it after covering it with a cellophane tape (packing tape) strip, kinda like a bandaid, to keep it from expanding or flaking off.

Black electrical tape works really well and tends to blend into the bezel, but the tape will need to be cut lengthwise though in order to fit only on the bezel itself.
