Large emojis disappeared after upgrade to 17.01

My wife and I recently updated software to 17.01 on our iphone XR's. Both our emojis with the large animal icons with hearts are gone from both phones. The small emojis are still there but the large ones are gone.

Recent Emojis Not Staying in Front I recently upgraded to an IPhone 16. When I had my iPhone 12 every emoji I used stayed in front of the emoji selection as soon as I used it. Now they do not. In the very second I use one I have to go searching thru the list again to reuse it right after. My phone is updated…emoji keyboard is correct…I’ve checked everything. It’s quite annoying. My older phone never did this. Is there a way to fix this?

Emojis lost Since the latest awful 17 security update, I’ve lost all my personalized emojis. Adding them to a new keyboard does not work. The emojis is already there but it won’t have a checkmark and it doesn’t come back. I hope someone is fixing this update that screwed up my phone.
