Photo Edits are not downloading to my PC

For years I have taken a photo on my iphone and make edits. Photos sync to icloud perfectly and I can see the edited photos in icloud.com on my PC. Then I download to my PC for other uses. The photos have always downloaded perfectly with all the edits.

But beginning a couple of days ago, now when I download a photo to my PC, icloud downloads the original raw photo with no edits. This is driving me crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your suggestion. I spent over an hour on the line with Apple support yesterday. And we finally came up with this same solution. But it only works for single image down loads. If you try to select 2 or more pics and use the "Most Compatible" option it still only downloads the raw unedited photo.

So, if I want to select 7 images I have to do them one at a time. This means a 35 click process instead of 3. Not a very efficient option. And again this is a "Brand New" issue. I have been downloading multiple images using the simple download button at the top of the icloud.com photos navigation bar for over 5 years without any issues getting the edited version.

Hi there therustman62,

You'll want to be sure you're choosing the Most Compatible option for formatting to download edited photos and not originals from iCloud.com. Have a look at the guidance below:

On your Mac or PC

1. On iCloud.com, click Photos and select a photo or video. Hold the command key on your Mac or control key on your PC to select multiple photos or videos.

2. Click and hold the download button in the upper corner of the window. If you want to download your photo or video as it was originally captured or imported, choose Unmodified Original. For JPEG or H.264 format — including edits, and even if it was originally in HEIF or HEVC format — choose Most Compatible.*

3. Click Download.
