Is there a way to remove the caps lock icon that appears when caps lock is on? Im using a program where I type in all caps and it is very annoying that this little caps lock icon appears every time I turn on caps lock. It disrupts my view.

Originally I said helpful, but I've changed my mind! When I do that it does turn the caps lock off - but it turns it completely off! Now I can't turn it on at all. So I have to keep my finger on shift to depress it for every letter I'm typing as they need to be all caps. I'd like the caps lock key to work without the attempt to "helpfully" remind me that it's on with the indicator that shows up exactly where I'm typing! I don't need to be reminded that I've got caps lock on - I'm looking at what I'm typing!
I understand that perhaps a vision impaired person might want a reminder but then this particular visual reminder is not helpful to them either.

We can see where that would be annoying. Here's how to turn it off: Change the behavior of the modifier keys on Mac - Apple Support
Go to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Modifier Keys > Caps Lock key and select "No Action" from the drop-down on the right.

Thank you. Finally someone who actually understands what I’m trying to say. I still need caplock to work, I just don’t need it to show that little icon on screen that blocks my view. By the way, you can turn the cap locks back on. Just go back to the same menu and you can toggle it on and off. I disabled then caps lock then I was to turn it back on again. You don’t have to keep holding down shift key.
That disables caps lock completely. A lot of people just want to turn off the irritating, unnecessary, nanny icon that keeps popping up when you're using caps lock.
But that doesn't solve the problem, it creates a new problem. People want the Caps Lock key to work. They just don't want that annoying, distracting, useless icon appearing on screen.
