It’s off and still making sound?

1. Ensure your iPhone is fully updated to the current iOS 16.7 (iOS 16 shows in description) as updates help by installing bug fixes and include security updates too. If an update is needed, back up first: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
2. If that doesn't help, let's refresh the setting by tapping Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Keyboard Feedback, then turn the sounds/haptics back on. Change iPhone keyboard sounds or haptics - Apple Support
3. Restart your iPhone - Apple Support for fresh connections
4. Turn the keyboard sounds back off and test.

System has no pending upgrade

Keyboard sounds —>both off

Haptics —> Always off

Outcome: still making noise when i close a popup window.

Toggled all settings together, restarted the phone —> no change

Toggled settings separately, restarting after each the phone —> no change

The only way to stop it is to put the phone on silent mode which mutes everything.

HOW DO I REsOLVE THIS?
