Downloading yahoo mail to my iPad and iPhone is not working properly

I am having problems downloading messages from my yahoo mail account to my iPhone (which is running iOS 16.6.1) and iPad (which is running iPadOS 16.6.1). I keep getting messages saying “this message has not been downloaded from the server” or “connection to the server failed”. Messages are downloaded eventually, but this is very slow and sometimes takes several hours. I have tried resetting network settings as has been suggested in earlier discussion threads on this issue, but this doesn’t help.

Both your iPhone and iPad have an update available to 16.7, so when you have a moment back up and install the updates to see if that helps with this issue.
