Unblocking yourself:

It didn't do this on its own --you did so on the device. Don't allow anyone access to it. So, remove yourself from the block list:

  1. Go Here: Block, Filter, and Report Messages on iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Manage your list of blocked contacts
  3. Proceed from there as necessary

I created a test string, named it, used it for a few weeks now everyone gets a message that I am blocked. I have followed all the tips and tricks. If I did so on the device...how did I do it so I can un do it....cause the answer did not work. Nobody has access, stop making assumptions. 0 out of 10 for helpfulness."

Troubleshooting Automatic Replies:

A. Contact the Thread Moderator:

So, does this occur on every chat thread? Or does this only have on certain threads? You might want to talk with the moderator of the thread, as they are the one who configures it all.

B. Contact your Carrier:

See if you carrier is have issues with other people reposting this. Perhaps you need to install a carrier update? Go here: Manually Update your Carrier Settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

C. Reset to Factory Settings:

To leave a thread, then Moderator must do so. You cannot leave it on your own. So, ask that they remove you as a participant, and then let you back in. If they decline, then you'd have to retire this to factory settings, as if you were to sell it. Perform as interacted here, including the iCloud Logout and backup creation: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

D. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this issue, if you don't report it.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all started after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
